West Palm Beach in South Florida is a beautiful city with some fantastic engagement photography venues. A few of them are on our list of favorite shoot locations, and one location that never disappoints is the Riverbend Park. With all the incredible backdrops it has to offer, the park is an ideal photo shoot location for couples (and photographers) who love a hint of nature in their photographs. To top it all, the Riverbend Park has many other attractions such as historic sites, recreational facilities, tours, and excursions for visitors. This makes it perfect for couples who want to make the most of their day together! Natalie and Edward gave us the opportunity to photograph at this wonderful location once again. Together we created some gorgeous couple portraits.
What You Can Do In Riverbend Park
Riverbend is a tropical 666-acre park split by the beautiful and scenic Loxahatchee River. The park offers hiking, horse trails, and picnicking facilities. It has well-defined and marked bike paths and offers fishing, kayaking, and canoeing to its visitors. If you want to see Florida at its most natural, you can even take guided tours at the park. Common sights are deers, alligators, exotic birds & plant species, and if you are super lucky, you may even spot a panther!
Portions of the Loxahatchee River are designated as an aquatic preserve. If you go canoeing or choose to paddle down the river, be prepared to pass through an impressive cypress swamp. You might even witness the most amazing golden light. We’d suggest that you carry bug spray or an anti-mosquito cream with you as the mosquitos might feast on you! Not literally, but kind of. That’s our experience and an honest tip to all our couples.

We met Natalie and Edward through our friend Julie at Just Glam Events. They are such a sweet couple, and we just loved photographing them surrounded by lush greenery and the most majestic trees. The tranquil atmosphere was perfect for the romantic shoot. Our bride and groom-to-be were so relaxed and happy throughout the session, and we loved seeing their energy. Also, the colors Natalie and Edward wore for the photo shoot blended perfectly well with our surroundings, which, in our opinion, was great for the pictures too.
