Stephanie and Harrison’s Pier 66 wedding. There were only a few wedding venues left in South Florida that we had yet to photograph and were super excited. I mean c’mon, they have a spinning top floor with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Fort Lauderdale. Who wouldn’t want to photograph this venue?
Pier 66 Wedding
The venue Pier Sixty-six Hotel and Marina is located at 2301 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. It is a beautiful waterfront location with a very relaxing feel. Located 3 miles from Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Most noteworthy, it has a unique feel with the rotating dance floor and observation deck overlooking the alluring Fort Lauderdale city. Also, Pier Sixty-Six is also known for having an award-winning culinary team. We truly loved Pier 66 of Fort Lauderdale for a wedding venue and highly recommend it.
Well, we did have a scare! Consequently, if you are a bride planning a wedding in Florida, hurricane’s are always something you need to worry about especially from late June to November. Unfortunately, you need to now add hurricane damage to your list of concerns when planning a wedding. Yup, Hurricane Irma decided to mess with us and put the hotel out of commission for a little while. As a result, we actually didn’t know if it would be open in time for the wedding date but we were so pleased to hear that they opened up a few weeks before Stefanie and Harrison’s big date.
First Look
We were also super excited Stefanie and Harrison picked to do a first look. They picked the Bonnet House as their location. What a beautiful location. Artist Frederic Clay Bartlett created Bonnet House in the 1920s. If you are looking for a location to photograph, we highly recommend it. The pictures speak for themselves.
Everything from the ceremony, reception, and the party was fantastic for their Pier 66 wedding. Their friends really know how to have a good time. You can just look at the images we documented and see what a romantic, beautiful, fun day it turned out to be.
Thank You For Recommending Us
Above all, we also wanted to thank our amazing friends, family, and clients for recommending us. It truly is the best compliment. In the case of Stefanie and Harrison, that is precisely what happened. One of our mutual friends was kind enough to tell Stefanie she had to go with us for her wedding photography needs.
Stefanie and Harrison got married at the beautiful Pier 66 Hotel.

Stefanie had not only one beautiful dress but two! We are seeing a lot more brides changing for the second half of their wedding day in recent years. I mean, who wouldn’t want two wedding dresses?

Oh man, I’m in love with so many of these! Those b&w’s and that golden dance floor picture in particular. And yes, I’m in South Florida, and Irma totally wrecked our lives for a bit. Just glad it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
