Palm Beach Cake Smash Photographer | Plan Your Child’s 1st Birthday Photo Shoot
Some events in life are more special than others. One such event is your baby’s first birthday. Your little bundle of joy just arrived, and WHOOSH… a year is gone! Your heart is overflowing with love and admiration for your munchkin, and you are probably very excited to mark this milestone in style. But before you start planning a big party, a small cake smash session could be a perfect kickstart to your celebration. Booking a cake smash session with us is easy, and Amy, our fine art specialist, would love to help you plan it. She builds custom sets and plans every detail for you. All you would have to do is bring the cake and your child.
5 Things to Consider When Planning a Cake Smash Session
Even when we will do most of the planning and preparation, we’d like to know your preferences. Here’s a list of a few things that will help us understand and serve you the best.
1. Date
Pick a date that’s a few days or weeks before your child’s birthday. This will buy you time to get the images back before your child’s 1st birthday party, and you’ll have the chance to display them at the party if you want.
2. Time
We’d suggest you plan the cake smash session around your child’s nap time or according to their feeding schedule. There’s nothing more adorable than a happy and smiling baby! Also, instead of being hungry or sleep-deprived, your child will be able to have fun and enjoy the session too!
3. Theme
Pick a theme. For example, Cinderella, cars, nature, or anything else you would like to see in your baby’s photos. Choose the colors you would want your theme to sync with or the one that would help you get the desired look. If you aren’t sure, don’t worry, we’ll help.
4. Outfits
In case you want a few images with your child before or after they are done smashing the cake, we’d suggest that you try matching with your little one! We always ask our clients to send their outfit ideas to us so that we can sync the theme, colors, and outfits to create a perfect picture of your cutie.
5. Location
Decide if you want an outdoor shoot on a beach, a park, or an indoor session in a studio with lots of props. Our studio is located at 11420 Fortune Cir, #i-26, Wellington, Florida, so you can also plan your session here.
