The Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island is a location where you can witness the ocean go wild. You can also get the most mind-blowing couples portraits possible. After photographing Brianna and Chandler’s engagement shoot at this incredible location, it quickly made its way to our list of favorites.  We can go on and on describing the spectacular views and the unique experience it offers. To us, it wasn’t just an engagement session location but also a chance to be so close to nature and experience it at its purest. With a vast ocean and a bright blue sky – both of which also made for the most amazing backdrops for the photos – we just fell in love with this place.

Protected by the Nature Conservancy, the Blowing Rocks Preserve is a gorgeous barrier island sanctuary well-known for large-scale coastal habitat restoration. It has a lovely limestone shoreline and about four small trails less than a mile from this natural canopy of trees. The cliff-like rock formations at the Blowing Rocks Preserve and the waves crashing into them almost make you feel like you are in Hawaii. And we say this from experience. 

 

Even the natural light here was perfect for the romantic vibe we were going for our couple’s engagement photos. Also, Brianna and Chandler were such sports when it came to posing and moving around the location. They were game for anything, and we loved that!
