Many couples planned to get married this year while some had marriage plans chalked out for the next year but due to the unfortunate spread of a pandemic like COVID-19, the world has come to a standstill. No celebrations, adventure elopements, no gatherings, and no events.
The future of weddings has become a hot topic in the photography industry with the attack of COVID-19 in our lives. The big question is — how will we have large gatherings to celebrate weddings anytime soon?
Right now, some states are still under a stay at home order. Certain states have rules regarding gatherings over a certain amount. New York is even allowing you to obtain marriage licenses over Zoom!
So what does this mean for a couple looking forward to getting married in the near future? We have a couple of ideas.
Adventure Elopements and Pop-Up Weddings!
These weddings can be beautiful and incredible and still remain safe in the eyes of the law.
South Florida Adventure Elopements
If you want to get married next month, maybe you are in a location where you can do an adventure elopement or you can travel to a place you love. A place that is accessible and safe to go to right now with just your fiancé and a photographer and a videographer.
Well yes, adventure elopements were a thing before this so I think they might become the next big thing for couples wanting to have a beautiful wedding and say “I Do.” Finding a breathtaking view and having it documented through photographs is a wonderful way to get married.
Pop-Up Weddings
If weddings went in levels, pop-up weddings would be the next level up from an elopement. Pop up weddings are more structured. Usually, it will consist of 10-25 attendees at your wedding. You have to be a tad flexible with them as well. Typically, there will be a planner with a photographer, a videographer, a florist, a Makeup team, an officiant, and a catering team. It will be a one-price-for-all type of a deal. This is a wonderful idea to get married because it takes away the stress of finding all your vendors but, it still gives you a chance to make sure they are perfect for you.
