There are many places in Boca Raton where we love to shoot engagement sessions, but before deciding your location, make sure to follow these points:
- Before brainstorming on where you would want your engagement session, decide on the type of session – beach, park, activity-based, or an urban vibe. This will help you streamline your search and planning.
- After you have decided on a theme, start with searching for venues that grant permission to have a photo session. Check if the venue you have in mind requires a special permit for photography. If so, reach out to your photographer beforehand. We have a permit to shoot at Palm Beach Parks, and we often suggest those locations to our couples.
Parks in Boca Raton That We Love
1. Burt Aaronson Regional Park
Circled with verdant gardens, a huge golf course, a unique aquatic park, and a stunning amphitheater, Burt Aaronson Regional Park is a year-round green space. It is often our go-to place for engagement photography in Boca Raton as well. The park also has some hidden photography spots and both open fields and shade areas that allow us to take your photos in different settings. 2. Sugar Sand Park
Sprawled across 132 acres, Sugar Sand Park is another ideal engagement session location in Boca Raton. The park has many outdoor activity areas that can be perfect for a fun-themed photo session. One of the highlights of this place is its well-lit, beautifully decorated carousel, which doubles up as a splendid backdrop for your engagement photos too.

3. South Beach Park
Florida is best known for its scenic ocean vistas, and one such beach is the South Beach Park. It’s perfect if you are going for that light and airy vibe for your engagement photos or planning to have a picnic for the session too. It is also a hotspot for bird-watching, so after the session, you can enjoy the day sitting by the shore with your love. However, pets are not allowed at this beach. So if you are considering bringing your furry friends along for your engagement session, this location won’t make the cut.

4. South Inlet Park
South Inlet Park is another beautiful oceanfront park that will make you go “wow” with its turquoise-blue water and soothing ambiance. Moreover, this inlet is mostly secluded and rarely trodden, making it even more special for shooting engagements. Note that the use of balloons is not permitted at this park.

Another incredible spot for bird-watching and picnicking, the Spanish River Park also has some nature trails that can be used as ideal spots for your engagement session. 6. Red Reef Park
Red Reef Park is a beautiful place for nature walks and photography. It also has a pavilion that gazes out into a 180° view of the beach. 7. Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
Founded in 1984, the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, also known as The Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex, is famous for many attractions – the most highlighted is the Boardwalk Trail. The trail takes you through the dense forest dominated by Bursera Simaruba trees, a lookout tower, and a butterfly garden, making it picture-perfect for couples who want to highlight nature in their engagement photos.
