Christy and Dwayne were the perfect examples of how an engagement session should be. We did the shoot back in August of 2017.

This beautiful couple decided to schedule an engagement session with us by the recommendation of a couple whose wedding we previously photographed at the Palm Beach Zoo.

Funny enough Christy’s mother, who lives in New York, is good friends with our next door neighbor down in Florida! It really is a small world. Christy’s mother has a passion for photography and now even calls us from time to time to chat about lenses and settings.  

When it comes to picking a location for an engagement shoot, we always like to make sure it’s a place that means something to our clients. If you’re in the South Florida area, read our blog post that features our favorite locations!

For the engagement session, we met at a beautiful beach in Belle Terre, NY. This place is important to Christy and Dwayne because they enjoy taking their boat out to this location and they’ve always loved the beautiful scenery. The other locations we shot at include McAllister Park in Port Jefferson, NY and Avalon Park in Stony Brook, NY.

Shooting their engagement session came very natural to them and you can tell they enjoyed themselves in the final photographs… They laughed, had fun, and really showed their love to each other throughout the shoot. It was really hard to choose which images we loved the most since they all came out incredible. But if we had to choose, we loved shooting the ones of them spreading out a blanket and sitting down. They looked comfortable with each other and we’re glad to have been able to capture the special moment between the two of them.

We had a great time shooting them and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding in New York this June.
