Since we are parents ourselves, we know that the nine months of pregnancy are joyous, anxious, and sometimes exhausting. It’s also a time that is all too fleeting. And that is why we love photographing this precious stage when your little bun is in the oven! Our recent maternity photo session with gorgeous mama-to-be Brooke at The Diplomatic Beach Resort was just another reminder of why these shoots are so precious. The weather was ideal for a beach maternity photo shoot, with cool winds and gentle waves crashing on the sand. The location was serene and peaceful, helping us to make Brooke’s maternity photo shoot memorable. 

Brooke’s Maternity Photo Session

From choosing nursery décor to shopping for the little bean, parents expecting the birth of their baby often have a lot on their minds. This is just another reason why you should consider doing a maternity photo shoot! It allows you to hit pause, take a break, and enjoy some “me time”. Plus, maternity photos are a great reminder of what your bodies are capable of. So in case you are getting overwhelmed by all the things you still need to do before your little one arrives, we’d highly recommend going for a maternity photo shoot and simply enjoy being pregnant. 

Since Brooke was visiting from out of town, she wanted to document her maternity session while visiting South Florida. And when she contacted us to photograph her baby bump, we were so happy and excited to meet the mama-to-be! The Diplomatic Beach Resort is such a picturesque location for a maternity photo shoot, with the sparkling ocean water and white sand beaches providing the perfect backdrop for capturing the beauty of pregnancy. The resort’s lush gardens are also a photographer’s dream, providing endless opportunities to get maternity portraits. Also, if it doesn’t already sound like it, The Diplomatic Beach Resort is like a perfect little paradise that will instantly make you feel relaxed.

For her maternity photo shoot, Brooke had picked out two outfits, which flawlessly enhanced her pregnancy glow. One of her outfits was a pink ruffle dress that hugged her baby bump. The pastel-colored dress complemented the blue hues of the ocean and sky. And as she held her baby bump, she radiated that maternal glow.

Brooke and her partner were beaming from ear to ear as they held each other close and shared sweet kisses on the beach. It was clear that they were head-over-heels in love with each other and excited for the arrival of their little bundle of joy. They were so natural and comfortable in front of the camera, and their love made our hearts go “awww”! 

The couple was a DREAM to work with. They were down to have fun and soak in the moment! After a quick outfit change, Brooke donned a flowy golden sequined dress and looked like an absolute goddess! And her partner looked dashing in his white linen shirt. The couple had a blast playing in the ocean and bringing out their inner child for the photos. 

We also stopped to take some solo portraits of Brooke. She truly radiated happiness and beauty, sitting on the wet sand while cradling her baby bump. The light was just right, and the contrast between the sand and water made for some lovely  shots. 

We walked around the beach with the couple and got some stunning candid portraits of the two lovebirds holding hands, chatting, and looking at each other with nothing but love. As they shared a sweet forehead-to-forehead moment, we knew exactly how they felt – completely in love and so full of joy.
