DuBois Park Engagement Photo Shoot
Beachfront parks make for picture-perfect engagement photography locations, and when they have a history attached, your photos can turn out to have more than just gorgeous backdrops. DuBois Park in Jupiter is one such location, and we and our couples love it for all that it offers! It has a jetty on a lagoon, grass cover, palm trees, a beautiful 1898-built DuBois Pioneer Home, and a blue and sparkling ocean in the background, making it ideal for engagement photos of you and your partner. Also, the fantastic views of the Jupiter Lighthouse are unmatched! If you choose DuBois Park for your engagement photo shoot, we can create some magic together.
DuBois Park Engagement Photography
Jupiter’s DuBois Park could be a complete package for couples looking for more than just an incredible photography experience. Brides and grooms-to-be looking to turn your engagement shoot day into a fun and adventurous day out, we are looking at you! The DuBois Park has a guarded swimming area, picnic spots and offers boating too. It also has defined areas for saltwater fishing, snorkeling, and kayaking for those who want more options. If you also have kids (5-12-year-olds) accompanying you, the park also has a playground to keep them engaged while you take photos.
The park, maintained and promoted by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, is registered on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the oldest in Palm Beach County and a gateway to the past. If you love and appreciate history, you could also visit the DuBois Pioneer Home after your shoot. It will give you an insight into how life was on the Jupiter Inlet more than 100 years ago.
The home was built by Charlie Carlin, the oldest son of Captain Charles Carlin of the Jupiter Inlet Lifesaving Station, with help from Harry DuBois and his father. Harry and his wife Susan were the first residents of this ‘House on the Hill’. They got married in 1898 after meeting on a blind date at the Jupiter Lighthouse with Charlie Carlin and his date. So, with picturesque views, a long history, and a sweet romance – DuBois Park pretty much is the perfect setting for your engagement photos.
To get an idea of the park’s potential and know what your engagement photos could look like, you can check out the images below. We did this engagement session at DuBois Park and got some beautiful photos of our couple. The lovely backdrops of the park were a perfect addition to the pictures. The highlight of our session was the majestic bird who decided to fly past our couple when they were posing on some rocks. We were quick to capture this moment and got a one-of-a-kind couple portrait. This was such an unreal moment for us and our couple. And thankfully, nobody was hurt in the making of that photograph. The session ended with a stunning post-sunset silhouette! It can sometimes get tricky to get that perfect outline, but we love how this one turned out. If you are looking for a similar photography experience, we are here for you!
