Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach. Beach weddings are always special, but this one had a unique twist—rain! Yes, planning a South Florida wedding means always keeping an eye on the weather, but as this couple proved, a little rain only enhances the beauty of the day. The day began in the most delightful way: getting ready photos! The bride’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning, a vision of elegance hanging next to the large glass window that overlooked the beach. We couldn’t resist taking a moment to photograph the dress, its beauty enhanced by the natural light streaming in. Meanwhile, on the groom’s side, things were just as lively. The groom and his groomsmen were looking sharp in their suits as they prepared for the big day. One of the most touching moments was when they all gathered in a circle and bowed their heads to pray. Capturing these genuine emotions is one of our favorite parts of being a wedding photographer.

The couple decided to have their ceremony indoors, surrounded by their closest family and friends. When the bride finally walked down the aisle, you could feel the love and anticipation in the air. She was a vision of confidence and grace, and the groom’s face lit up the moment he saw her. As the couple exchanged their vows, we made sure to focus on their radiant smiles and loving glances. When they walked down the aisle as newlyweds, hand in hand, cheers and applause from their loved ones filled the room, and the happiness on their faces was absolutely priceless.

After the ceremony, it was time for portraits, and we couldn’t have asked for a more dramatic backdrop. As the skies darkened, the couple embraced the weather without hesitation. Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach is known for its stunning ocean views, and that day, the dark, moody clouds created a striking contrast to the elegance of their wedding attires.

The bride, in her gorgeous white ruffle dress, and the groom, in his bold blue suit, walked hand-in-hand along the beach, the stormy sky making the perfect backdrop. Their joy was undeniable, and the weather seemed to amplify the romance of the moment. They laughed together, soaked in the moment, and turned what some might see as a wedding-day hurdle into a beautiful, memorable experience.

One of our favorite shots from the day was the couple standing on the shore, with the waves crashing in the distance and the sky dramatically dark above them. It was the kind of moment you only get when nature decides to play along, and it was pure magic.

The group photos were equally joyful and full of laughter. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were like family to the couple, and that closeness shone through in every photo. One of the most fun shots of the day was the bridesmaids lifting the groom into the air and, in return, the groomsmen doing the same with the bride! These playful moments are always a hit, and they add such a fun, lively dynamic to the wedding album.

As the evening rolled in, it was time for the reception, and it was nothing short of a blast! Once the dancing started, there was no stopping the fun! The couple also had an interactive photo booth and everyone was having a blast posing for pictures. Friends and family couldn’t get enough, and the photo booth was busy all night long. To add to the fun, two of the bridesmaids surprised everyone by pulling out a life-size cutout of Harry Styles! It was absolutely hilarious, and the room erupted in laughter.
