Capturing the moment when our client gets down on one knee and pops the question is truly magical. Secret proposals are one of our favorite things to document as photographers. There is something so special and intimate about being able to capture such a significant moment in a couple’s life – a moment they will be reliving and sharing with their family and friends for years to come. Plus, it’s always fun to see the looks of surprise and joy on the face of the person being proposed to, as well as the love and happiness between the couple. So naturally, when Nick asked us to help him capture this life-changing moment between him and his girlfriend, we were all in!
A Surprise Proposal at the South Pointe Park Lighthouse
When it comes to proposal photography, we instantly turn on our ninja mode. We are there, but we are not really there. It’s truly an honor to be able to capture such special moments for couples, and we are always excited to be able to document another proposal!
We were so excited when Nick contacted us about his secret proposal. He called us on a Tuesday around 2 PM and told us he was going to propose to his girlfriend later that day in Miami Beach. We are located in Palm Beach, and it was only 4 hours until the session, and we are about an hour away. He had flown in from Canada and was only in town for a few more hours, so we knew we had to move fast if we wanted to make it happen. We weren’t sure if we could pull it off, but after checking with our team, we came up with the perfect plan and got to work arranging everything.
The South Pointe Park Lighthouse was the ideal spot for Nick’s surprise proposal. Nick had sent us a picture of what the couple looked like, and we found an amazing spot on the beach. Nick got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. With a surprised look on her face and just pure love and excitement in her eyes, she said yes, and it was so sweet! The whole thing turned out perfectly! Plus, the golden hour truly blessed us that day as it bathed the sky and shore in a warm glow, providing beautiful lighting for the photos.
The shoot went off without a hitch. The spot was perfect, and we decided we were going to use it a little more. So after the surprise proposal session was over, we also took a few engagement photos for them. The couple walked around the beach, taking in the sights, and posed for a few shots. They were so happy, and in love. It was a joy to photograph them.
