A love story fit for the movies, a wedding with a cultural touch, and not one but two spectacular venues – sometimes we get extremely lucky and get to photograph weddings that feature all this and more. Amanda and Blake got married at the Hilton West Palm Beach, and it is truly a venue that feels like it was designed for weddings. At the heart of the downtown area, Hilton West Palm Beach is the perfect blend of a tropical paradise and luxury. Amanda and Blake’s Story

Amanda and Blake are such a sweet couple. We met them through our past bride and good friend Christen, who got married at The Addison in Boca Raton. So shout-out to Christen for introducing us! We are always excited to listen to our couple’s story, and when we asked Amanda and Blake to tell us about theirs, Amanda shared, “Blake was too shy to talk to me in sixth grade English class. But then, we met again in high school, and the teacher switched our seats and made us sit next to each other. And that’s how our friendship blossomed. We actually became really good friends. Then on December 31, 2013, he asked me to be his girlfriend. That same night he met my entire family at the New Year’s Eve party.”

Talking about the proposal, she said, “Fast forward a few years to February 20, 2019, he proposed to me in front of our family at his graduation from his police academy. He asked me to come up to say thank you to everyone for coming. And then he turned his body slightly towards me and started thanking me for everything and saying how amazing I am and complimenting me. That’s when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!” From sixth grade to the wedding day – that’s some journey to take together!

When you are thinking about a wedding at the Hilton West Palm Beach, imagine a sunny wedding on exquisitely manicured lawns, situated around a lush landscape and shade of the famous Florida palms. For those who desire an extra touch of luxury and royalty, their Oceana and Coral Ballrooms, decked with modern chandeliers on 20ft ceilings, might just take your breath away.

The Hilton West Palm Beach flawlessly aligned with Amanda and Blake’s wedding vision and who they are as a couple too. Surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful architecture, we took our bride and groom around the venue for couples portraits and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of backdrops we got for the pictures.

After their ceremony, our couple released two beautiful doves. Then, we headed down to Worth Avenue with their whole wedding party. And those of you who know us already know that this is one of our beloved locations. An upscale shopping and dining district in Palm Beach, the Avenue stretches four blocks from Lake Worth to the Atlantic Ocean. It’s absolutely fantastic for events like these and offers plenty of stunning photo-ops too. We then went back to the Hilton to wrap up a few more romantics. From their poses to the loving expressions on their faces, we had a great time taking Amanda and Blake’s couples portraits. The lighting at this time was super romantic too. This was all a part of the calm before the storm (of the big party!), though. Amanda and Blake’s is one of the craziest parties we’ve photographed. And we have to say; the Hilton West Palm Beach was the ideal venue for it too.

Our couple’s wedding also included an Italian wedding tradition. During the couple’s first dance, it is tradition for guests to hold colorful streamers attached to the bride and groom’s hands as they waltz. The goal is to wrap them up in streamers, well wishes, and love as they dance. Besides being such a sweet tradition, it was so much fun to photograph and see them dance with these streamers. Amanda and Blake were just beaming with happiness.
