Ok, are you ready for it? Wedding photographers are going to hate that we are telling you this but here it goes! Ask to see a few FULL albums. That’s right, I said FULL DIGITAL ALBUMS– Not just what goes in the printed album, not just what they put in their portfolio or on their website. You need to see how they handle ALL lighting situations. Sometimes it will be dark. Sometimes it will be 3 pm with full sunlight. When choosing a wedding photographer, you need to see the whole day in order to get a sense of scope for that photographer’s skill level.

Personally, we have photographed over 500 weddings at this point. I have no problem pulling out full digital albums and showing you our work. We have been photographing weddings all over the world for more than eight years and know how important this is for a bride. I will show you a wedding from start to finish. You will see everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. We want you to know our style and exactly what the final product will look like. Our goal is to make you ecstatic with your wedding day photography.

Cherry Picking Great Images

Anyone can take 50 great images and put them on a website and call themselves a top new photographer. But you need to do your homework. This is the one part of the wedding you can’t make a mistake with. The cake can be dry, the flowers can be a tad too pink, but the pictures need to represent exactly how the day went in a beautifully artistic manner that you and the photographer have envisioned.

So you’ve asked, now what happens if they say no? Maybe they’ve said no to protect their clients’ privacy or something they’re not allowed to share. This is where you ask how many weddings they have photographed? How long have they been in business? Really press them to find out why they can’t share at least 1 or 2 full albums.

We’ve found that this little bit of questioning can really help weed out the wedding photographer that just don’t walk the walk.
